They started on foot, and finished by flight. When the 31 Red Bull X-Alps athletes took off from Salzburg, only a few things were certain: they would hike, they would fly. They would battle difficult terrain and extreme exhaustion, while testing the limits of their mental and physical ability. Of 31 to cross the starting line, only ten would make it to the finish – the most competitors ever to arrive in Monaco.
