The snow is all gone and it’s time for the beach, right?! If you think that the world’s best skiers have been taking it easy, you’re mistaken. They are already hard at work, getting ready for the new season, which starts in Sölden, Austria in under five months' time.
The speed queen Lindsey Vonn ended her season with what she called “an epic feat.” Lindsey‘s comeback season of dreams was the result of an equally epic journey of hard work – and she isn't done yet! In fact, she’s already been back at work for over two months. First on the slopes, and now in the gym.
On top of all this, Lindsey also devotes time to her Ski Girls Rock programme and the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, both of which encourage young girls to follow their dreams. “My career has taught me to never give up,” says Lindsey, whose brand-new foundation is about giving the future women of the world the confidence to move mountains!
And, every so often, she fits in a public appearance, such as on Late Night with Seth Meyers and the Time 100 Gala.
It’s not been quiet with Marcel Hirscher, either. If you haven't seen his amazing Colours feature, make sure to check it out here.
Right after the season ended, the four-time overall World Cup champ was rushing from one appointment to another – yet he also found some time for his fans, staging a massive party for them. He also kept skiing and ski testing until the last flakes melted.
On May 3, Marcel showed his fitness at the Wings For Life World Run, running a whopping 22km in St Pölten. Then it was time for a couple of weeks of R&R under the Asian sun. For the full story of his Asian adventures, stayed tuned here on RedBull.com/Snow over the next few days...
But, post-season is also pre-season, so Marcel is back in training, getting ready to fight for an unprecedented fifth back-to-back crystal globe!
The youngster in the team can look back on another successful season, but he wants even more and doesn't care who knows it. Henrik’s goal for the 2015 Wings for Life World Run on 3 May was a highly impressive 31 km.
The young gun is clearly not resting on his laurels. He fills his days with crossfit, agility, biking and, of course, some skiing.
With Aksel Lund Svindal back amongst his Norwegian team buddies once again, Henrik will be charging with the crème de la crème of ski racing – we say watch this space, because this kid is all set for some major feats!
