Red Hot Releases to 2013
On the heels of the “Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Covers EP” last month, the Red Hot Chili Peppers announced that they'll drop 18 previously unreleased songs from the “I'm With You” sessions over the next seven months.
The first two tracks, “Strange Man” and “Long Progression,” come out August 14. This will be followed by “Magpies” and “Victorian Machinery” on September 11, and “Never Is A Long Time” and “Love Of Your Life” on October 2.
The band made a point to note that the songs will be released digitally as well as on nine 7-inch records. The record covers will feature artwork by Kelsey Brookes, and when put together, the nine covers will form a larger piece of art.

Woods Do It Live for Sixth Album
The Brooklyn indie rock band Woods will release their sixth studio album “Bend Beyond” through Woodsist Records, frontman Jeremy Earl's record company, on September 18. Unlike their previous efforts, Woods says, “Bend Beyond” will possess more of a live atmosphere.
Mulit-instrumentalist Jarvie Taveniere "joined Earl in his upstate home in the Fall of 2011 and the pair produced the twelve song album, which features the epic title song, a recent centerpiece to the band’s live set," said the band in a release.
Before the album's release, Woods will embark on a California trek, beginning August 3 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. It's set to conclude August 9 at the Soda Bar in San Diego. Peaking Lights will provide support.
Sharks Go Under the Big Top
The indie rock group Sharks has unveiled its circus-inspired music video for “Patient Spider.” It's the latest single from the British quartet's first full-length offering, “No Gods.” The song, which is fairly catchy and more anthemy than punk, which many outlets classify the band's music as, incorporates a vibrant horn section. The video features various big top characters and people partying in a room wearing random animal masks. Check it out on YouTube.
Flagship Hit the Road
Flagship, the alternative rock quintet from Charlotte, North Carolina, is about to hit ACC country hard.
