In Red Bull Illume 2010, a global photography competition, 4,337 lensmen and women from 112 countries entered 22,764 images in 10 categories. The 49 jurors had their work cut out in selecting the 0.04 per cent of photos worthy of winning, but their pick of the pics is astonishing in both its scope and impact.
