Another World Title Fight For Red Bull Racing

The Red Bull Racing team who worked on Jason Crumps bike

As if challenging for the world titles wasn’t enough, in their spare time, the team has been helping another Red Bull athlete Jason Crump, world Speedway champion.

A mate of Mark Webber and a fellow Aussie, Crump secured the world title for the third time last season, despite having a horrific crash late in the season which required a skin graft on his right arm – and a whole load of therapy.

Mark, who recovered last season from injury, helped Jason out at the time and got him in touch with the Red Bull treatment centre which had aided our driver with his recovery.

And when Jason complained of vibration through the bars of his bike, Mark again offered to help and put him in touch with Ray Beasley, Phil Turner and Sam O’Keefe (pictured above) at the Factory, all speedway fans who helped modify his bike.

Jason said: “Mark’s been brilliant, as have the boys here at the Factory. Speedway riders don’t run on Formula One budgets, so Red Bull Racing’s help has been great – as have all the guys at Red Bull.”

Overseeing the activities in Milton Keynes was our reliability engineer – and, yep, another Aussie – Wayne Greedy.

Wayne said: “Having seen the pain Jason went through last year to finish the season and take the title we felt honoured to help relieve the discomfort he is going through whilst still recovering from the injury".
