After the longest afternoon of the race season, we have moved ahead of Force India to go seventh in the Constructors’ classification having got both our cars into the top ten for the first time in 2011.

We picked up five precious points courtesy of an eighth place for Jaime Alguersuari and a tenth for Sébastien Buemi. It seems that every race this season has been more exciting than the last and today in Canada we witnessed a Grand Prix that will go down in history as one of the greats, even if it was interrupted for two hours and five minutes when rain made driving an impossibly dangerous task. The soaked fans, who waited patiently in the grandstands, got a great reward for their patience.

The surprise winner of this classic was Jenson Button, the McLaren man only taking the lead on the very last lap, having put Sebastian Vettel under such pressure that the German made one of his rare mistakes, running wide and letting the Englishman through. Mark Webber joined his team-mate on the podium in third spot.
