One-of-a-Kind DJ Battle Rocked Out at the Southgate House
More than 500 people came out tonight to cheer on their favorite DJs at Red Bull Thre3Style at the Southgate House. The energy poured from the DJs into the vigorous crowd that roared all night. With a blend of music from artists combined with high stakes mixing performances -the judges were left with a tough decision.
However, in the end, there can be only one DJ named winner. Proving her skills with one-handed and backwards scratch moves, and a creative set mixing old school hip hop, breaks, disco, house and funk - DJ Apryl Reign was unanimously crowned champion by the judges. As the only female competitor of the evening, Reign showed no fear when she took her stance behind the turntables. She was on a mission to win and she did just that.
“I feel like it’s a dream. I’m completely speechless right now,” said DJ Apryl Reign, the newly crowned Red Bull Thre3Style Champion.
Eight diverse DJs at the top of their game - DJ Apryl Reign, K-Dogg, DJ Haze, Clockwork, DJ Pillo, Ice Cold Tony, Nati Kid and CJ Townsend – representing Cincinnati, Columbus and Louisville came out tonight to show their skills and rock the crowd. The competition was judged by a crew of local and nationally known music influencers Mr. Dibbs, Dan McCabe, DJ Benzi and DJ Spider.
After Red Bull Thre3Style warmed the crowd up and the dance floor was rockin’, contest judge and nationally recognized DJ Spider kept the tunes flowing till near dawn.
About Red Bull Thre3Style
