Marc Coma continued his good start to the Dos Sertoes rally by winning the second stage in Brazil.

The rally’s second stage started in Caldas Novas before heading to Unaí. Coma finished the stage in a time of 2h30min50, just over a minute ahead of Zé Hélio in second.

“It was a larger stage, with varied terrain,” the Spaniard said. “It was complete for the riders, a mix of trial, fast and slow at the same time. I had no problems with the bike, the route was very tranquil.”

Despite the result, Coma remains second in the overall standings behind Hélio with a time of 4h14min12.

“My tuning up with the bike is very good,” said Hélio. “I had fun the whole day today. The bike is a delight. A few more days and it will get better.”

Third place in the stage went to Deni do Nascimento, with 2h32min01 in the second day of Rally. And he is also third overall, just ahead of Ike Klaumann, who finished with the fifth best time.

The Dos Sertoes Rally is the fourth meeting of the current Raids World Championships – following previous races in Abu Dhabi, Tunisia and Sardinia – and will wind up next Friday in Fortaleza, Ceará, in the north of the country.
