Dew Tour Halfpipe Riders to Watch Red Bull Content Pool

This winter the Dew Tour has gone from three stops to just one, but that only means the event in Breckenridge will be that much better. This will be the first halfpipe contest of the season, and it will be interesting to see which riders are ready to throw down this early. With the Olympics only two years away, this contest will bring out everyone who is trying to get their ticket punched to Russia.

Here are six riders to watch out for this weekend:

Men's

Louie Vito
One of the most explosive pipe riders out there. You can never count Louie out as he has the tricks to win any contest. With a slew of double corks at his disposal, he is always a threat. A member of the US Snowboarding team, a win would be the perfect way for Louie to begin his march towards Sochi.

Shaun White
When he is at a contest you better bring your “A” game. He has all of the hard tricks and goes huge, a combination that has brought him numerous podiums and gold medals. Shaun is aiming for one of the spots in Russia and this will be the first chance to show everyone he means business. Just in case you forgot how good he is, here is his 100-point run.

Iouri Podladtchikov
Last year IPod earned his spot as one of the top halfpipe riders in the world. He has a huge bag of tricks including both the regular and switch double mctwist. Always a threat, if he can put a run down you can count on him to be standing atop the podium.

Women's

Kelly Clark
Last season Kelly Clark was one of the riders that changed the face of women’s halfpipe riding. The amplitude she brings to every contest is amazing. She has proven she has the tricks to win, and when she is on it is hard to knock her off the top of the podium.

Torah Bright
Torah is the most stylish halfpipe rider in the world. She consistently puts together some of the hardest runs, throwing some of the coolest looking tricks possible. With an Olympic gold medal under her belt, she will be motivated to get back on top after a difficult last season. Check out her gold-medal-winning run from Vancouver.

Gretchen Bleiler
She is a threat for the win in any contest she enters. One of the hardest working snowboarders out there, Gretchen is known for putting together runs that combine technical tricks with stylish airs. A Colorado local, she will want to make her home state proud and come away with the victory.
