England defeated Bangladesh by two wickets in the second One-Day International in Mirpur but the tourists ended the match with a question mark over the fitness of Stuart Broad.
An unbeaten 110 from Eoin Morgan helped England avoid what would have been an embarrassing defeat as he led the team’s pursuit of Bangladesh.
England passed their target with just six balls to spare and, although the victory was unconvincing, it was enough for Alistair Cook to claim his first series win as captain.
He and his team had to overcome adversity. A back injury to Broad seriously hampered the bowling attack, with the Nottinghamshire all-rounder completing only six of his 10 overs.
Cook revealed after the match that the injury would be assessed properly on Wednesday.
Broad’s withdrawal offered encouragement to the hosts and Bangladesh posted their best-ever score against England. Mushfiqur Rahim hitting 76 in a total of 260-6.
Broad was padded up and ready to help his team's cause with the bat but fortunately he was not required as England were grateful for the big hitting of Morgan.
Though spinners Abdur Razzaq and Shakib Al Hasan claimed three wickets apiece and made the visitors work for the victory, Morgan's late blitz secured the win.
Bangladesh have never beaten England in a One-Day International and the tourists will hope that record remains intact after the third and final match of the series in Chittagong on Friday.
England will have their fingers crossed that Broad is fit and firing. You can keep up to date with all the news from the England team at ECB.
