The Faces for Charity website has now closed for uploads and we’d like to thank the thousands of fans who have supported Wings for Life by adding their photos to Mark Webber’s and Sebastian Vettel’s cars for the British Grand Prix.

As most people donated more than the 15 Euros and Red Bull Racing matched every single donation, we’re thrilled to announce that the Faces for Charity raised in total an incredible 1,000,000 euros which will fund cutting-edge research projects around the globe.

Wings for Life Managing Director Anita Gerhardter said: “Scientific research is very cost intensive and Faces for Charity is going to make a huge difference to our ability to fund the most promising research projects. I can’t overstate how much this will help us progress towards our goal to find a cure for spinal cord injury.”

The countdown is now on for the British Grand Prix: It’s now just over two weeks until the race weekend gets under way and the Faces for Charity cars are revealed.

Our Team Principal Christian Horner said: “Faces for Charity is going to make this year’s race at Silverstone extra special. It will be a privilege for the drivers and the team to race with thousands of fans by our sides. Most importantly, it will create a real buzz for Wings for Life and spread awareness about their vital work.”

Every single person who’s taken part in Faces for Charity has played a part in making this happen. To browse through their photos simply scroll through the mosaic here.

The winner of our prize draw who will be given the opportunity to spend the whole weekend at the British Grand Prix including exclusive behind the scenes access, will be announced very soon. Watch this space!
