59 freestylers started out the day dreaming of becoming 2010 Red Bull Street Style Champion but only 16 made the cut as the competition to find the world's best baller builds to a crescendo in Cape Town, South Africa.

Wednesday's final will be webcast live on - the action gets underway at the revised time of 21.25 (CET)

The second day of the Street Style World Finals – a public holiday in South Africa aptly named Freedom Day – saw the world’s best freestylers mesmerise the crowd with their ball skills as qualifying for the final got increasingly competitive.

Christian ‘Rocky’ Mayorga from Colombia and local champion Kamal ‘Kamalio’ Ranchod got the crowd going as they moved up the qualifying table, ousting favourites Rickard ‘Palle’ Sjölander and Brian ‘Brizze’ Mengel from Denmark into second place of their respective groups.

The biggest ovation of the day, though, was for 11-year old Nigerian Habib Makanjuola, who, despite not winning his heat, had fans cheering after a unique performance that looks like ensuring him a very bright future in freestyling.

An enthusiastic crowd also got a glimpse of reigning Street Style World Champion Sean Garnier as he booked his place in the last 16 from the final qualifying group.

Frenchman Garnier showed glimpses of his winning Sao Paolo performance in 2008, but, like any great champion, he is surely saving his best for the final.
