Mattias Ekström and Martin Tomczyk will be getting a flying visit from Austrian stunt flyer Hannes Arch as the curtain comes down on another DTM season at Hockenheim.
The runner-up in the Red Bull Air Race World Series is part a delegation of VIPs on Audi’s guest list invited to meet the team as part of Audi’s 100th birthday celebrations and watch Ekstöm’s old Race of Champions teammate Tom Kristensen compete in the series for the last time.
The Dane, who has won the 24hr du Mans a record eight times, makes his 60th and last outing for the team this weekend. To mark the occasion, his A4 will be emblazoned with his portrait on the bonnet and be carrying two inscriptions, one in German, "Danke Tom für tolle Jahre in der DTM" (Thank you, Tom, for the fantastic years in DTM) and in his native Danish "Held og lykke, Tom" (Good luck, Tom).
Also playing to the crowd will be freestyle streetbike rider Chris Pfeiffer. The final DTM of the year starts at 2pm (CET) this Saturday.
