Taddy is getting into gear for the second round of the AMA EnduroCross championship, which comes to the Power Balance Pavilion, home of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, for the first time.
I’ve made it to Sacramento in one piece so that’s always a good start to a race weekend. Unfortunately, with all the travelling from Europe, I couldn’t watch the opening game of the 2012 European Championship in Warsaw.
I managed to keep in touch with how the Polish football team were performing via text messages from my brother. He kept me updated until the final whistle. To get a draw in the first game against Greece is an okay result, we’ll see how they get on from here.
It’s a massive weekend back in Poland and it’s also a big weekend for me here in California. During the last couple of weeks I have been feeling great on the bike. I’m really happy that my shoulder isn't feeling too painful, and also the hand I damaged is feeling okay too.
Considering it’s only a few weeks since I was feeling beat up after my crash in Las Vegas, it’s great being good to go again. I’ve been riding a lot and enjoying my training. I was determined to be back in shape for this race and now I want a good result at the weekend.
I’m looking forward to the race and I won’t be changing my style at all. I plan to attack like I always do. In the first race of the season in Las Vegas, I had a hard time getting a good feel for the track but here I have the impression that I will get on fine.
On the day of the race, I'll walk the track for the first time, but they've already released a drawing of the track on the internet. The layout looks good and I’m looking forward to having some fun on the bike once the race starts. The fact that I’m not going into the race with any painful injuries is a major plus.
The way the track looks, it seems to me that we are in for a quick race. I get the feeling we’re going to get a good flow and that will suit my style. I like having the option of hitting the obstacles hard to get an advantage into the turns.
It’s also good to be with the KTM team again. Everyone is determined to get the best position we can in this second race of the EnduroCross season.
Until next time,
