Following her record-breaking LPGA win earlier this year, 16-year-old golfer Lexi Thompson has grabbed another stunning victory at the Dubai Ladies Masters...
2011 has been a very good year for Lexi Thompson, first of all she shattered records for being the youngest competitor to win an LPGA title, now she's followed that victory up with another success at the Dubai Ladies Masters.
"It feels amazing. This has been just a great tournament and I am looking forward to coming back," said Lexi after winning the title by four shots. "My goal was to get it to 15-under since there were many great players behind me on the leaderboard.
"I just tried to focus on my game. I did think about the victory when I had a five-shot lead, but throughout the whole day I was trying to play one shot at a time and never tried to get ahead of myself."
Florida-based Thompson had earlier won the Navistar LPGA Classic on the American tour three months ago. "I've been working on my game really hard and it's paid off," she said at the time. "I'm just trying to improve every tournament."
