As the riders gather in Brazil ready for the final FIM Motocross grand prix of the season, the organisers are already looking forward to what promises to be a spectacular end of season finale at the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations on October 3-4.

FIM has already received a record number of entries for the competition as 108 riders from 36 teams are ready to join battle in Franciacorta, Italy.

‘The biggest and greatest Motocross event of all time’ – Wolfgang Srb

Led by the newly crowned MX1 world champion Tony Cairoli and including outgoing champion David Philippaerts, the host nation are the team to beat, while Ivan Tedesco, Ryan Dungey and Jake Weimer have the job of defending the title for the USA.

Also on the entry list are Steve Ramon (Belgium), Marvin Musquin (France) and 15-year-old sensations Ken Roczen (Germany).

“I am simply stunned,” said FIM/CMS President Dr Wolfgang Srb. “Thirty-six nations have entered, from all continents in the world. The highest number of entries in history. This will be the biggest and greatest Motocross event of all time.”
