560 boasts an enormous 28,000 sq ft of floorspace, making it one of the biggest venues to host a Thre3style world final this week. Tonight it'll be the backdrop to France's Thre3style entrant DJ Supa, New Zealand's DJ Spell, American contender Big Once, Peru's DJ Thomas Young and Chile's DJ Byte fighting tooth and needle for their place in the Thre3style World Final tomorrow night.
Located in the old A&B Sound store, it took a year and almost $4 million to convert the massive venue from shop to nightspot. Focused on a large open room, it has a stage and two bars - and no where to sit. This might seem obscene, but if anything, it keeps patrons focused on why they're there - and that is to dance!
When you're worn out, head to the mezzanine level where sofas and a see-through plexiglass panel allow you to simultaneously chillax and observe. Regualars to the busy nightclub will urge you to head to the basement, where a you'll come across a 6,000 sq. ft unisex bathroom with 11 foot high ceilings, its own bar, DJ and dance floor!
Tonight's headliners are DJ Premier vs Pete Rock, DJ Dopey and Faction Soundcrew who will be picking up where the finalists left off and whipping the crowds in to a Friday frenzy.
