In-line skater Taig Khris has broken the world freefall ramp record by jumping off the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
In front of an estimated 80,000 crowd the Frenchman jumped from the first floor of the famous landmark 40 metres above the ground onto a quarter pipe 12.5 metres below. The feat smashed the previous best of 8.53 metres, set by American Danny Way.
"I've never had such a strong adrenaline rush," Khris said after his successful jump. The skater said he wanted to break the record "to give people the desire to reach beyond their limits, to follow their passions, their dreams."
