What started in Innsbruck as four guys with a passion for Freeski on a mission to share their stunts with the world has developed into a third movie release from the Legs Of Steel Crew. Legs of Steel will be shown on RedBull.TV for 24h on 24 September at 18:00 CET.
Go behind the lens with Benedikt Mayr, Paddy Graham, Thomas Hlawitschka and Tobi Reindl as they prepare to unleash Hurt So Good onto the public.
Hurt So Good follows up The Pilot and Nothing Else Matters to complete a Legs Of Steel trilogy. Tobi Reindl explains the philosophy behind a LOS shoot, “We plan a session but we make changes all the time. We’re totally independent so we decide how each segment of the movie is built.”
Two movie releases in the past three years have propelled the Legs Of Steel crew from absolute newcomers to the proud recipients of a pair of Powder Video Awards.
With industry recognition for their first two movies the Legs Of Steel crew knew they had to take things to the next level to shoot Hurt So Good. The decision was taken to invite Daniel Trenkle onboard to benefit from his experience of heli filming and other tricks of the trade..
The Legs Of Steel crew certainly believe that variety is the spice of life. They travelled the world to shoot action on the best Freestyle and Freeride slopes on the planet and also brought an eclectic mix of skiers in on the project.
As well as Tobi, Paddy, Bene and Thomas there’s a whole bunch of skiers featured in Hurt So Good. The roll of honour reads; Jossi Wells, Max Hill, Lolo Favre, Tobi Tritscher, Sven Küenle, Sam Smoothy, Sebastian Hannemann, Sig Tveit, Fabio Studer, Sebi Geiger, Nico Vuignier, Frej Jönsson and Gaute Silseth.
Of course the stunts are spectacular and the scenery is stunning but everyone who worked on Hurt So Good agreed that the best thing about being involved in the shoot was the band of brothers mentality shared by the crew.
The release of their latest movie, Hurt So Good, sees Legs Of Steel continue their rise to becoming a world-renowned ski film production crew. We can’t wait to see what Tobi, Paddy, Bene and Thomas have got in store next…
