e-Sports tournaments are set to change forever with a game-changing event in Austin, Texas, this weekend… The first-ever Red Bull Battlegrounds.

This weekend, Red Bull Battlegrounds will pit 16 of the world’s top e-Sports athletes against each other at Austin City Limits. The very best of the best will lock horns as they play StarCraft II with the aim of gaining fame and taking home more than $40,000 in cash.

Overseeing Red Bull Battlegrounds will be former StarCraft II athlete-turned-commentator Sean “Day[9]” Plott of He’s be joined by Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham of TwitchTV, well-known gaming personality Mike “Husky” Lamond and Blizzard Entertainment’s e-Sports Manager Rob Simpson.

Among those competing in the event will be Red Bull athlete Lee Sak “PartinG” Won from Korea’s StarTale team and Ilyes “Stefano” Satouri, of France’s Millenium team.
