'Make mine a Red Bull,' says Hunder

PK Hunder is the youngster that has been challenging megastars like Jon Olsson and Tanner Hall the last two seasons. Then he broke his neck in Jon Olsson Invitational in April. But we are confident PK Hunder (20) will be back on the very top of the victory podiums as soon as next winter.

PK, short for Per Kristian, grew up on a farm next door  to the 1994 Olympics ski resort Hafjell, near Lillehammer. Skiing was the natural thing to do from the age of three, and during wintertime PK did not do much else than ski, eat and sleep. He joined his first competitions at age 14, and at once impressed as the wonder kid who could spin like no other.

The first international breakthrough came with victory in Jon Olsson Invitational (JOI) 2007, and he followed up with an impressive second place in US Open.

2008/2009 started well for the spinning kid with victory in London Freeze and 2. place in Freestyle CH, before he continued beating Simon Dumont and Jon Olsson in King of Style, finishing off with an impressive 1260 double cork. But the kid that dropped out of school and slipped his feet into the skiing boots full time didn’t stop with that. He ruled Sweet Rumble in Trysil, and after 3 competitions in the US Dew Tour, PK was standing as the winner. PKs team also won JOSS awards in Åre in before the rotten April snow in JOI made him fall forward and break his neck.

”It’s totally awesome to sign with Red Bull,” says PK. ”It has actually been a dream of mine ever since I started competing. First of all I love the drink, and what Red Bull do for their athlete’s is just phenomenal,” continues the skier who has been known to steal Jon Olsson's cans. ”I’m looking forward to a long and good relationship with Red Bull and the guys behind it.”

Red Bull Norway is looking forward to getting PK airborne again, charging for even more gold, glitter and glory in the years to come.
