In his blog this week, Marc Márquez takes time to reflect on his own change in fortunes, and that of his friend and colleague in MotoGP, Dani Pedrosa.
Hello!
This week you’ll have to forgive me for writing this blog a little later than usual. I have been unable to write before as I was travelling to Malaysia from Japan!
It was a weekend which ended very well but had a difficult start. On Friday, we had some problems, but we worked hard with the team as we knew we needed to find solutions.
But in the end everything went well in Japan – we got a very good set-up on the bike and won again. After the bad luck we had in Aragon [where Marc was hit on the first corner and crashed out], this win gives us a great morale boost for the forthcoming races.
'I'm gaining a lot of experience this year, and I think I'm learning how to manage races'
It seems that our main rival in this season’s finale is Nico [Terol], he appears the strongest as far as I can see. But hey, you should always be aware of which other riders could also join the fight – so we have to focus on doing our job as usual.
I'm gaining a lot of experience this year, and I think I'm learning how to manage races, and this is important for everything that lies ahead of me in the future.
Before closing, I want to send a special message to Dani Pedrosa. Both I and many others in the paddock are saddened by his fall, and above all the bad luck he has had with the injury. It is a shame, because things were looking good for Dani recently [in the championship fight]... I send him my best wishes and encouragement from here in Malaysia that hopefully he’ll recover soon. See you again as soon as possible on the bike, Dani, and good luck!
Best wishes also to my fans…
