After completing his first Grand Prix in Portugal, Moto2 rider Marc Marquez looks back at his mistakes and looks forward to how he will learn from them...
Hi everyone!
I'm back once again. As I mentioned last week, we had a plan to test out and train with all of our equipment and further improve the performance of the bike. We're staying on here in Portugal until Wednesday, and the idea is to continue accumulating miles on the bike and improve the pace on track. Let's see if we're lucky because the ever-changing weather has not made things easy.
As for the MotoGP at Estoril, we knew it would be difficult, especially since we'd just had a training day and a dry track - which had affected the development of the bike. It was a real shame about the crash because of all the great work the team had put into the bike - I apologise to them all. The one positive thing was that I finished my first Grand Prix in this category!
I'm happy that I found myself physically fit enough to complete the 26 race laps. It's not at all an easy category and I have to keep improving my adaptation to it.
As I said before, until Wednesday, we'll continue training with the team here in Portugal. We have to continue improving and adapting to the bike and we'll keep preparing to take the extra steps that are needed to succeed in this category.
Greetings!
Marc
