Let us bring you another update of all that's new and important in the world of music...
Peaches (that's her above) has been informed that her one-woman performance of Jesus Christ Superstar is banned from taking place. Well, in one venue at least. The Lovertits hit-maker was planning to perform the show with Gonzales as piano accompaniment at Berlin's Hebbel Theatre. However, the Germans in control of the rights to the show were wary of possible aggro should Peaches decide she was Jesus or something. It is hoped the show will still happen, so stay tuned to www.peachesrocks.com.
Vampire Weekend have been having something of a victory lap after their second album Contra topped the US charts. Along with confirming no-end of festival appearances, they've got a few of their showbusiness chums such as RZA, Jake Gyllenhaal, Lil Jon and Joe Jonas to appear in the video for the single Giving Up The Gun. Head to www.vampireweekend.com for ongoing joys.
Thom Yorke has named his new band on Radiohead’s Dead Air Space blog. After putting together a bunch of likeminded chaps to play his solo material, he gathered the likes of producer Nigel Godrich, Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea and drummer Joey Waronker together, and now after months of actual breath-holding, he has announced that they shall be known as Atoms For Peace. Ooh. They also tour the United States briefly in April with Flying Lotus in support.
