Red Bull Racing will be an added attraction at the World Series by Renault events this year, with a championship-winning RB6 display also forming part of the action at all seven rounds of the junior Formula series.

2011 Formula Renault 3.5 Series runner-up and current Toro Rosso driver, Jean-Eric Vergne will kick things off at Motorland Aragon, Spain between 5 and 6 May 2012.

Promising a show-stopping display, the Frenchman said: “I feel right at home in World Series by Renault, I spent three years competing at these meetings: two seasons in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and one in Formula Renault 3.5 Series. I know a lot of people, including a number of drivers who I’ve faced at several levels during my career. I'll be taking a seat in the RB6 in front of the World Series by Renault fans and will be doing everything I can to put on a good show for them.”

World Series by Renault is one of the most successful feeder series into Formula One - our very own Sebastian Vettel being a prime example having made the jump from Formula Renault 3.5 Series to Formula One back in 2007.

Set to be a haven for speed junkies, the World Series by Renault events are free to attend, host up to three RB6 exhibitions runs each day and provide the chance to meet our drivers. Other drivers throwing down demonstrations of the RB6 in action include Jean-Eric’s team-mate and fellow World Series by Renault graduate Daniel Ricciardo and our reserve driver, Sebastien Buemi, also World Series alumni, having competed in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 in 2006.
