Red Bull Illume searches the world for the best action and adventure sports photography and honours the men and women behind the lense. The winning pictures will be unveiled at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland next week.
In total, 4,337 photographers from 112 countries have entered Red Bull Illume bidding to be one of the top 50 finalists, spread over 10 category winners with one overall winner and one Athlete's Choice winner. Almost 23,000 images have been submitted to the world's biggest action photography contest.
The winning entries are conta are on these boxes, currently under heavy guard at historic Trinity College Dublin, in Ireland. Tonight at 9:00pm (CET) the covers will be lifted and the 50 finalist images illuminated for all to see.
The overall winner will receive a Leica S2 camera and equipment worth €30,000, while every photographer getting an entry selected for the final 50 will pick up a SanDisk Extreme Pro 64GB Flash Memory card.
