Carlos Sainz jr. leads the British F3 pack Red Bull

Four Red Bulls in three racing series in the streets of Pau: Sainz jr. as well as Albon, Kvyat and Wackerbauer. British Formula 3 championship, Races 7 & 8, (Races 3 & 4 of the FIA European F3 Championship) and Formula Renault 2.0 Alps, Races 3 & 4.

This weekend's Circuit de Pau, a clockwise 2.769km (1.721 mile) street circuit, is a classic event on the international motor racing calendar held in the south-west of France. A total of eleven Formula 1 races were run here in the fifties and sixties great drivers who have won there include Nuvolari, Fangio, Ascari, Behra, Clark, Stewart and Rindt.

Pau, like the tracks in Macao and Monte Carlo, belongs to the legendary street courses and is regarded as the world’s oldest city circuit still in use in its original layout.

No less than four Red Bull Juniors will race in Pau this weekend: Carlos Sainz jr. (ESP), in the British F3 championship; as well as Alex Albon (SCO), Daniil Kvyat (RUS) and Stefan Wackerbauer (GER) in the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series.

Both racing series are being led by a Red Bull: Sainz and Kvyat, respectively.

For the first time Carlos Sainz jr. is heading into a race weekend as the leader of the British F3 championship following two race wins at Monza. The 17-year-old Spaniard from Madrid also proved himself in the opening rounds of the FIA European F3 Championship at Hockenheim recently with two pole positions and two second places.

The three Red Bulls in Formula Renault 2.0 are not given a chance to rest at the moment. Just five days after the previous event in Aragon (ESP) the racing continues for Alex Albon, Daniil Kvyat and Stefan Wackerbauer in the south-west of France. Races 3 and 4 of the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series are on the programme in the streets of Pau.

Daniil Kvyat wants to resume his impressive series of wins. The young Russian has won the last four races and is leading both Formula Renault 2.0 racing series, Alps and the Eurocup, with maximum points.

For the two rookies in the Red Bull Junior Team, Alex Albon and Stefan Wackerbauer, Pau will be all about an increase in performance as well as their first points in the championship.
