Carlos Sainz Jr. heads for the Nürburgring this weekend and races 13, 14 and 15 in the F3 Euro Series as a recent winner. The Spanish 17 old scored victories at Spa and Snetterton for the Carlin team in British F3 and now takes his car to the Eifel mountains still looking for his first podium top step in the Euro Series.
He lies 6th in the points table but there are still 12 races remaining so there are plenty of gains to be made. He will be putting the memories of his last Euro Series outing, the pointless weekend at the Norisring, behind him for these races on August 18th and 19th.
Sainz: "Both my performance and the results have been back on the upswing recently. Now we need to continue this trend at the Nürburgring, too, not least in order to reduce the deficit to the overall leaders. I've been able to gain very good experience at the Nürburgring and also have good memories of this track, although this time we're going to run the circuit's short version."
