What is so special about kiting?
What makes kiting so special is that you enter a parallel universe where only one thing matters: the harmony of the team, which is reflected in the line of flight of the kite and which is the basis of the perfect performance. Personal ambition is superseded by the feeling of a common bond, so that the entire team becomes one unit.

Which goals do you set when you're kiting?
Perfect interaction in terms of space and rhythm - that's the main goal we try to achieve each time we fly.
Richard: "When flying as part of a team, the symbiosis between the kites is the number one priority."

What do you think about when flying?
Above all you focus and strive for perfection. When you're flying, you think of nothing else but the flying itself. You forget everything around you and enter the zone, which eventually gives way to a state of relaxation. There's something meditative about flying, even if we still have both feet on the ground.
Ramlal: "As soon as the soundtrack to the performance begins, I forget about everything that's on my mind or is worrying me. I am able to focus one hundred percent on the kite."

Are there extreme situations in kiting?
Underwater kiting in Beirut, kiting from boats at Red Bull Flugtag or the perfect performance in 80 km/h winds - everyone on the team has been pushed to their limits. But that's precisely the attraction - finding out where our personal boundaries are and perhaps pushing beyond some of those limits.

What is so special about being part of this team?
Being a member of the Red Bull Kiteforce team means being among the best kiters in the world and honing your skills to perfection with your team-mates.
Ramlal: "Being part of the Red Bull Kiteforce team is a unique opportunity to work with people I hold in very high regard because of their character and their skill."
