Red Bull Racing showrun in New York Brian Nevins/Red Bull Content Pool

If you thought Jimi Hendrix's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock was revolutionary, check out the version laid down by the Red Bull Racing Running Showcar!

The F1 team was in New York City this week with the high-revving demo car as they took advantage of the championship series' summer hiatus to take another trip across the Atlantic ahead of the first ever Grand Prix of America in 2013.

Sebastian Vettel was in New York a couple of months ago for some hot laps of the New Jersey circuit and he also appeared on the David Letterman Show. This time, Red Bull Racing ambassador David Coulthard was behind the wheel. But the team didn't only do doughnuts at Liberty State Park, it also showed off one of the Running Showcar's hidden talents...

Then, for maximum reverb, Coulthard plotted a vector through the city's Lincoln Tunnel at 190mph, completing the world's fastest commute from New Jersey to New York. You'll want to turn up the volume when you play the video below.
