What’s the strangest sight you’ve ever seen in a club?
Once in Belo Horizonte, my hometown, I played in a club for only one person! The guy came from far just to watch me DJ. As there was no public, the club would not open. But I told him to come in, turned the sound on and he danced euphorically for half an hour alone on the dance floor. It was strange, but very cool at the same time.
What’s the most embarrassing record in your collection? And the absolute best?
I think a record can be embarrassing when it’s played at the wrong moment. For instance, one time I was playing a record called Rob Reng feat. Huw Price: Plug me in (Madox remix) for the first time. This is an amazing track, but I played it at the wrong moment and the dancefloor emptied, so I changed the record quickly. The best record is Shut Up And Dance & DJ Hype: Reclaim The Streets.
