EC Red Bull Salzburg is delighted to welcome a new forward who is already very well known in Austria to the squad for the forthcoming season. Born and raised in Canada, forward Ryan Kinasewich - who has dual Canadian/Croatian nationality - has spent the last two seasons with KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, repeatedly proving his talent for goal-scoring. Last season the almost 1.90 m forward was the second best player after the regular season and reached the semi-finals of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga with the Croatian team.

Ryan Kinasewich scored a total of 58 goals and 66 assists for Zagreb over the last two seasons. But the Canadian already showcased his talent during his time in the North American WHL, ECHL and AHL, as Salzburg's head coach Pierre Pagé knows only too well: "As a 19-year-old he racked up 91 points and 39 goals in the WHL, and already had a place in the Canadian junior league as a 15-year-old. Now 28 years old, Ryan still wants to improve even further and is looking forward to a whole year of the Red Bull Hockey Model." Ryan Kinasewich is expected in Salzburg in two weeks, when he will begin training with his new team-mates. The Red Bulls have signed a one-year deal with the Canadian.
