After a disappointing finish in his home race in Munich, reigning champ and redbullcrashedice.com blogger Martin Niefnecker is aiming to get his season back on track in Valkenburg this Saturday...
Hello everyone,
Despite a lot of questions, I've tried to forget the Munich race as quickly as possible in order to focus on the next race in Valkenburg. Munich really didn’t go as well for me as I had hoped. It was a shame that I was not able to build on my performance from last year... anyway, on we go!
Over the last two weeks, I have spent more time playing hockey and skiing. Last Saturday, I took part in a charity hockey game in Munich organised by the company responsible for Munich’s Olympic campaign. That was quite an interesting experience!
Unfortunately, I fell ill at the weekend which has not helped. I have to make sure I get better as soon as possible as I want to travel to Valkenburg on Thursday. I’m already looking forward to the Valkenburg race as the course looks quite exciting and I've never been there before.
I hope that the Netherlands stop will work out better for me than Munich and that I’ll fight my way back to the top again.
Martin
