Accept no imitations as we round up some of the musical delights heading your way this week in the form of new album releases.
The hotly-tipped Ellie Goulding – in the UK, both the BBC Sound of 2010 poll and the Brits reckon so anyway – releases her debut album Lights this week. Featuring her single Starry Eyed, it lives up to the praise showered on her at the start of 2010, and it looks set to be one of the big releases of the year. www.elliegoulding.com
Joanna Newsom's triple – that’s triple – album Have One On Me comes out this week. With over two hours of music touching upon jazz, blues, country and folk, it’s the most ambitious release yet for the Californian harpstress, who kicks off her international tour on March 12 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. www.dragcity.com/artists/joanna-newsom
