Red Bull Bedroom Jam is a unique platform for young bands to present their music, broadcast live from home or enter big festival stages.
To all young bands out there: is the studio where you crank up your guitars your nice, cosy bedroom? Yes? Then Red Bull Bedroom Jam is keen to bring the music world into your home.
For more than a year, Red Bull Bedroom Jam has been the music platform whose broadcasts turn nurseries for kids into nurseries for musical careers. All young musicians aged 19 or younger can upload their music clips of themselves jamming, playing and having a musical blast in their homes.
The most popular will not only get the chance to enter a bigger stage, but also have their bedroom invaded by the Red Bull Bedroom Jam crew. They will then film and record the home gig and broadcast live to the internet in thousands or other homes, or an even bigger stage: this season's winners After the Ordeal played their first virtual gig at Download Festival in Donington, UK. The bedroom action was transmitted live to the massive screens of the main stage after the Marilyn Manson gig.

An even larger number of ambitious bands will leave the comfort of their home for some interaction with the real audience, to see if their skills and songs can stand the test of a crowd. Festivals such as T in the Park, Download and Liverpool Sound are hosting special stages for the young stars.
The highlight, the Red Bull Bedroom Jam X-Crawl 2009, saw the bands taking over four venues in Camden, London, for a high-decibel event. At London’s Underage Festival, the Jam presented its best talent on a dedicated stage. Adults were excluded!
The second season's most popular band will get to board the Red Bull Bedroom Jam tour bus for a tour around the UK.
