Two-times DTM champion Mattias Ekström will once again team up with eight times Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen as Team Scandinavia take on the rest of the world at the Race of Champions in China.

Team Scandinavia are one of the annual event’s most successful pairings, winning the Nation’s Cup in 2005 after beating Team PlayStation France – Sébastien Bourdais and Stéphane Peterhansel – and narrowly missing out to Team Germany – Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel – in the final in London, UK, last year.
Ekström himself has also won the Race of Champions itself outright two times, beating Schumacher in 2007 and Sébastien Loeb in France in 2006.
The Scandinavians will be joining an impressive roster of motorsports stars at the Birds Nest Stadium in Beijing, which already includes Schumacher, Loeb, Jenson Button and David Coulthard.
