In what will be one of the coldest weekends of the year in Minnesota, with temperatures plunging to minus 15 degrees celsius, championship leader and title holder Kyle Croxall, of Canada, will battle it out against American athletes Cameron Naasz and Tigh Isaac as well as international aces, including Finland's Arttu Pihlainen, Switzerland’s Kilian Braun and Germany's Fabian Mels.

Racing against each other in four-man heats and reaching speeds of up to 70kph, the athletes in the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship are competing in the fastest sport on skates during five global tour stops in 2012/13.
