Hello everybody,
It has been a week since the championship ended and I still have a bitter-sweet taste in my mouth after not being able to race in Valencia, but above all I want to write about what happened in Cervera last Monday and to thank you for the reception I got.
Last week I told you that something special had been prepared for me, but when I wrote the blog I still did not know just how many people were going to attend. It was simply spectacular. Many faces I knew, my family, friends and in short a lot of local people and fans that wanted to share that moment with me.
I want to thank you for all the shows of affection and support you gave me. It is always good to feel the warmth of the public, and if it is where you grew up, the emotions are even stronger.
You are not always aware of all the people who are following your career and that means you are always surprised when you feel their affection and encouragement. Last Monday we also gave a special tribute in honour of Marco Simoncelli.
Regarding the eye injury, I can tell you that it`s going well. I am continuing with my recovery plan and bit by bit it is getting better. In the next few days I will have some medical checks and I hope they can tell me that I am completely recovered so that I can get back to the normal rhythm of training as soon as possible.
Before I say my farewell, I want to thank you for all the support you have given me this season and tell you that I have really enjoyed being with you every week on my blog. I hope that I can return all that affection with good races next season. Many thanks to you all!
