From September 23 until October 2, Red Bull Art of Can exhibits its ever-growing collection of can-made objects in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Red Bull Art of Can is a nationwide hunt for creativity and is open to everyone, from full-time artists to anyone with a creative flair. Build, sculpt, weld, glue, hammer, bend, fold, print, tape and paint, whatever you like!

Red Bull Art of Can offers a platform for anyone, regardless of age, who wants to explore his or her creative talent. Red Bull Art of Can is a true expression of one's imagination, with few restrictions placed on the budding artist.

The only stipulation is that your primary material must be a Red Bull can (the classic silver and blue Energy, Sugar-free and Simply Cola cans are the options), but you will need to add plenty of imagination and creativity. Make a sculpture, a picture, a 3D model, a mobile, or a piece of modern art, but make it beautiful, colourful, clever, amusing or outrageous.

The project will culminate in a premium art exhibition, where the selected pieces will be displayed and the top three pieces awarded prizes. The judges will select the winners, who will be announced on the opening night of the exhibition.

The art of creating masterpieces out of Red Bull cans started back in 1999. Exhibitions have been held all around the globe from Europe to New Zealand. Countries like Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Singapore and the USA have all inspired artists to create their own aluminium artworks.

Judging criteria are Creative Concept (the idea behind the piece), Conceptual Execution (how well did the piece translate the concept idea) and Construction (how well is the piece constructed/special technique or unusual process).

Every day comes a new piece of work ready for exhibition. Some are crafted simply but based on an interesting idea, others are visible dozens of hours of high quality sheet metal work.

The Czech Red Bull Art of Can exhibition at Prague Designblock is curated by John Zielinski and Jiri Macek. The address is 1, Pařížská 25. The exhibition is open from 10.00 to 22.00, the entrance is free.
