Catch the hottest action images of the weekend as Red Bull bid farewell to NASCAR in a shower of sparks, and there were more or less conventional wins, winners and action thrills.

Carlos Sainz Jr is pictured at the F3 Macau Grand Prix where the 2011 Formula Renault 2.0 NEC champion had an accident in his Dallar-VW but was fortunately not badly hurt. “It was the heaviest shunt in my career. I was just in the process of overtaking two drivers on the long straight as a collision occurred immediately ahead of me,” said Carlos on the Red Bull Junior Team Facebook page, “and I drove straight into it without so much as even touching the brakes, at 270kph – I had no chance to react. I feel a bit of pain in my back and my right foot, but other than that I’m all right."

Cole Whitt was also in the wars (pictured, top) as he guested for Red Bull Racing in their final NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Homestead, Miami, his #84 Toyota coming together with Landon Cassill’s Chevy. Whitt was also in action (below) in the Camping Truck World Series at Homestead, finishing 22nd in the race and ninth overall this season.

Once the less conventional vehicles took to the streets of Chile’s capital city, it was Llegó el Lechero (roughly translated from Spanish as ‘Out came the Milk’) who won the soapbox derby, and with it a VIP invitation to Red Bull’s Dakar Rally after-party in January.
