FC Red Bull Salzburg's season-opening friendly match against Olympique Lyonnais at the Red Bull Arena will be broadcast LIVE on redbull.tv this Friday, July 8, 2011.
The Red Bulls take a proud record of never having conceded a goal in this traditional Red Bull Arena fixture, having managed to shut out Arsenal in 2007 and Bayern Munich in 2009.
This year's clash promises to be just as tough, as the French side can boast 17 internationals in a squad that cost an estimated €160 million to assemble, as opposed to the €30 million spent on created the Red Bulls squad.
Red Bulls head coach, Ricardo Moniz (above left) said: "I need to slowly find my first-choice for the first competitive matches and test them - therefore against Lyon I will principally be playing with the same team that will then appear against Liepaja and Austria."
