“I should have been born American,” said JR on arrival in the States last week, ready for the fifth round of this year’s World Superbike Championship.
Why, you might ask? The US of A boasts all of the things JR loves most – motocross, food and music – in abundance.
He’s an American R&B star stuck in a milky Northern Irishman’s body. He even likes to breakdance when the opportunity presents itself. Did anyone see his moves on the last corner of Assen when he won the race?
The beat of a cool tune gets JR in the mood. His motorhome often rattles prior to a session with his favourite song blaring out of this Kicker system, and his iPhone/iPod can accompany him even on the grid.
