Suzuki Nine Knights brought together nine of the world’s best freeskiers to compete on a specially-designed course carved out of Italian mountainside. From April 9-14, the athletes hit Livigno in northern Italy for the 2012 edition of this male-only competition (check out Suzuki Nine Queens, the female equivalent).

After last year’s event on Germany’s Nebelhorn was cancelled because of lack of snow and too much “Nebel” (German for fog), the Schneestern crew, together with the cat drivers from the Mottolino snowpark, shaped a multi-featured structure out of 75,000 cubic metres of snow to host one of the most sparkling showdowns on the freeskiing calendar.
