Eaglider

With the latest edition of Trendspy out today on Red Bull Web TV, we take a look at the featured gadget of the show, the amazing Eaglider.

The Eaglider looks like a high-tech spider on which a rider performs a step-and-twist motion to propel it across the ground on four wheels at up to 20kph. It’s great for adults and kids from as young as seven, and provides great toning for belly, legs and bottom.

So, if you’ve eaten one too many puddings, this is the perfect way to get in shape while having fun, and it’s also great for balance training. After just a few minutes you should be on your way and when you want to stop, you need only step off and the unique inverse safety break will automatically engage, ensuring the machine doesn’t continue forwards and whack you in the back of your heels! However, with safety in mind, it’s a good idea to wear protective clothing.

Gimme Techs n’ Specs
The Eaglider is made from high-tensile aluminium, steel and robust synthetics. At 5.6kg, it’s about the same weight as 33 Goliath Bird-Eating Spiders, and can withstand a maximum weight of 90kg, which is, of course, about the same weight as 4.5 Japanese Spider Crabs. And, with a maximum speed of 20kph, it could just about outrun the Camel Spider.

Gimme Background!
The Eaglider was invented and developed between 2006 and 2008 by Korean company Humanic Co Ltd.

Gimme More!
The Eaglider is available to buy for around €129, depending on your country – for more information and to buy on-line, check out the following links:
