Listen to a set from vintage dub and reggae label Trojan Records live at the Garden Festival main stage in Zadar, Croatia

Foundation Reggae, old and new is the trade of the mighty Trojan Sound System. Formed in 2004 by London sound system legends like selector Earl Gateshead and Daddy Ad, and vocalists Superfour plus Chucky Banton.

Earl Gateshead began playing records in Brixton in 1979 and became famous for his 20-year residency at The Dive Bar in London's Soho, his Saturday residency at the legendary Blue Note, and his Reggae nights at Plastic People received worldwide recognition. Meanwhile Gateshead worked as a selector and MC with Cutty Ranks, Big Youth, Dr. Alimantado or Dennis Alcapone, to name a few.

Daddy Ad comes from the Roots And Reality Sound System, has worked with Eek-A-Mouse and Tappa Zukie and, like Earl, is a champion for new sounds and acts. His background as a drummer and audiohead means he is responsible for the sound system's FX, mixdowns and sound, as well as co-selecting with Earl.

The Sound System's vocalists Superfour and Chucky Banton have more than 20 years' experience as members of the great South London sound systems such as Taurus, Sir Coxsone and Saxon.

Legendary recording artists from Lee Perry to Tippa Irie, Dillinger, Horace Andy, and Gregory Isaacs have all worked with the Trojan Sound System. Cease and settle!
