The 1972 Summer Olympics, 1974 football World Cup, Euro 1988, 2002 Track and Field Athletics World Championship, and now, 2011 DTM! No stranger to world-class, global stage events, Munich’s famous Olympic Stadium is back in action with one of the most spectacular motor-racing events of all time. The event will be held on a specially designed asphalt race course, with a length of 1,192 metres, all under the roof of the Olympic stadium. Thus, an excellent view of the qualifying races on Saturday and the knock-out competition on Sunday is guaranteed from every seat in the house.
The weekend of the 16th and 17th July will see DTM will go flat out in the Bavarian capital, and as if the racing wasn't enough, top international music acts will be rocking out the main stage and firing up the crowds. Visitors can also dive into the hustle and bustle of the paddock, or make their way through the ‘pit-lane’ to experience their favourite teams' final preparations first hand. There will even be the opportunity to meet drivers for photos and autographs. Additional highlights like stunt shows and demonstration runs from the DTM partner series will complete the two-day event.
