About: The 2011 MotoGP series thunders on with the next stop at Italy's Mugello Circuit. Located in the Mugello region of Italy near just north of Florence, the region is separated by the Santerno river valley by the Futa Pass. In the Middle Ages it was home to numerous castles, and was later acquired by the Republic of Florence. A more recent landscape changing event was the creation of an artificial body of water, Lake of Bilancino on the Sieve river. The track itself is 5.245km (3.259m) long and is made up of 15 turns and a long straight.
