About: The biggest event on the 2011 MotoGP schedule returns again this year to the historic Monterey circuit for its seventh successive outing. The Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix features the prestigious MotoGP World Championship and attracts nearly 150,000 fans. The 2008 race famously featured Hollywood legend Tom Cruise, who watched Valentino Rossi score his first victory on American soil in an epic battle with Casey Stoner.

The Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, previously known as the Laguna Seca Raceway is a paved road racing track used for both auto and motorcycle racing. It first opened its doors back in 1957 and is situated near Monterey, California, USA. The current track is 2.238m (3.602km) in length and has a 300ft (91m) elevation change. It has eleven turns, including the famous 'Corkscrew' at Turns 8 and 8A. A variety of racing, exhibition and entertainment events are held at the raceway, including Superkarts, American Le Mans racing and music festivals.
