About: The first official inspection of the new venue in the Tlajomulco de Zúñiga Jalisco region, which will host the fourth Grand Prix of the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship on the 13th May weekend has taken place, and Greg Atkins, Circuit Manager for Youthstream, has returned optimistic, with great expectations.

The Mexican track has been highly praised for its safety, as well as for the successful extension of the land and the soil quality in the local area. X Riders, who are the official organisers of the event, now face a great challenge ahead of them, starting from providing the necessary water tanks and a powerful electrical circuit to fulfil the requirements of a Grand Prix. At the moment the architects Andonaegui are adjusting the track and its surroundings, as well as designing the pit lane area, which will be placed next to the start. The organisers will be able to take advantage of the rugged topography of the ground to have a uniquely spectacular and demanding track. There will also be a state-of-the-art VIP area, which will be in a privileged position to experience the Mexican GP from a unique perspective.

There's still a lot of work to be done, but the first ever Mexican Grand Prix is shaping up to be something special.
