About: The World Motocross Championships heads to Spain this weekend, and it was announced back in March that La Baneza will be the venue for 2011. 150 of the sport's top riders take part in the fifth round at the Lerida circuit. The weekend of racing includes both the MX1 and MX2 races, as well as the Women's World Championships and the European 125cc World Championships. Practice sessions, qualifying and the first race in the WWC take place on Saturday, and Sunday hosts the MX1 and MX2 races. There will also be a demonstration of electric motorbikes, with the opportunity for fans to try them out on a special track. Not forgetting the future stars of motorcross, activities for children, including driving lessons will be available meaning anyone lucky enough to attend really will be in for a treat.
